Program
Komen is now accepting
applications for its College Scholarship Award Program. The
organization
offers up to seven undergraduate college scholarships
of $10,000 a year for up to four years. The scholarships
are intended to help students who would otherwise find
attending college to be a significant financial burden,
due to the loss of a parent to breast cancer. Recipients
will be expected to be ambassadors for Komen and the
breast cancer movement within their social networks and
on their collegiate campus. For more information, including
a list of qualifications, and to apply, visit http://ww5.komen.org/ResearchGrants/CollegeScholarshipAward.html.
